IRON NEST General and King: Target Location Guide
Learn why there is no verified universal coordinate for the General or King, how to identify current targets, and which ending claims remain unconfirmed.

Quick answer
Current evidence does not support one universal coordinate for the General or the King. Identify named targets from the orders, observations, and target conditions in your current operation, then use the normal triangulation and gun-to-target measurement workflow.
A short community video claims a hidden early King shot and gives precise values, but no second reliable source or official page currently verifies them. Those values are intentionally not repeated here.
Identify the actual search target
“General” produces misleading results. One long IRON NEST video featuring “General Maxwell” shows the player naming a customizable cat and giving it a general's hat. It is not evidence for a campaign target. Match every search claim to the operation name, printed target, and visible game state before using it.
The written campaign guide and ending material show that the King is connected to final outcomes and city decisions. They do not establish that the same fixed coordinate works in every release version or run.
Locate a named target in the current operation
Start with the teleprinter and task card. Place the IRON NEST, spotters, and any reference locations exactly. Draw each observation from its named origin and use independent lines or circles to establish the target location.
Before creating a shot, verify that the located token matches the requested identity or target type. Then draw a fresh red line from the IRON NEST, calculate the selected ammunition and charge, and keep the resulting task card with the load.
If the operation provides a correction after impact, preserve the impact marker and update the current target. Do not replace current evidence with an angle taken from an old Demo or another player's map.
The hidden King claim
The low-view narrated ending video says that hitting the King early in Fire and Light can cause the IRON NEST to destroy itself. Its exact bearing, elevation, and shell claim are unsupported by a second reliable source in the current research. The all-endings video can show different outcome scenes but has almost no explanatory narration, so it cannot independently prove the trigger.
Treat the hidden result as a testable community hypothesis. If you investigate it, use a separate save, record the current version and operation, and verify the result before sharing it as a guide.
Reliable next step
For normal campaign progress, follow the current operation and the Mission 2 correction workflow. For spoiler-aware outcome structure, read the endings guide.
